Job Title: Logistics and Supply Chain SpecialistJob Summary:

The Logistics and Supply Chain Specialist is a crucial role at Microban International, responsible for managing the logistical aspects of arranging transportation between warehouses, vendors, and customers. This position supports the management of 3rd party warehousing and provides Supply Chain related support across various functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation Management: Arranges transportation between 3rd Party warehouses for raw materials and finished products in the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia.
  • Intercompany Orders: Responsible for processing all intercompany orders between legal entities for internal inventory replenishment.
  • Logistics of Samples Shipping: Arranges for logistics of samples shipping to customers.
  • ERP Master Data Maintenance: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) master data maintenance, including checking delivery schedules, master data entry, revising, hazmat information, and harmonized tariff schedule information.
  • Purchase Orders: Prepares purchase orders, including ERP documentation, raw & finished goods transportation, sending notifications to warehouses and vendors, checking invoices, and preparing tables and data sheets for accounting.
  • Vendor Invoices: Checks invoices from vendors, including Carriers, Toller invoicing, checking, downloading, and transferring.
  • Shipping/Delivery Information Updates: ERP shipping/delivery information updates for 3rd party warehouses and US/Canada deliveries for all shipments.
  • Dangerous Goods Documents: Prepares Dangerous Goods documents for domestic and international shipments of samples and commercial shipments, air shipments, ocean, and over the road freight.
  • Transportation between Vendors and Customers: Arranges transportation between vendors (raw materials, packaging, finished products, documents) and customers.
  • Customer Service Support: Supports customer service for freight quotes to customers.
  • External 3rd Party Warehouse Relationships: Provides support to manage external 3rd party warehouse relationships, contracts, and resolution of issues.
  • Internal Auditing: Supports internal auditing of 3rd party warehousing to ensure compliance to internal standards.
  • Support to Other Functions: Provides support to other functions, filling in for resources within supply chain, customer service, and on-site warehouse teams when needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and three to five years' experience in logistics and supply chain position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), AX (SAGE) – basic ERP systems training required, Adobe (Acrobat Reader DC), Web browsers (Chrome, Edge...), and Communication tools (Teams, Skype, etc.).
  • Dangerous Goods Transportation Certificates: Dangerous goods transportation certificates (IATA, IMO, IMDG, etc.) required, or ability to obtain certificates following training.
  • International Logistics Knowledge: Knowledge of international logistics terms and conditions, including Incoterms, working with Harmonized System codes, customs documents, international Dangerous Goods regulations, international customs regulations, freight forwarding, and basics of accounting.
