At U.S. PIRG, we're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Toxics Campaign Director to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in advancing our mission to protect public health and the environment by reducing the use of toxic chemicals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective campaign strategies to ban toxic chemicals and promote safer alternatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including policymakers, industry leaders, and community groups.
  • Develop and execute media outreach plans to raise awareness about toxics issues and our campaign goals.
  • Collaborate with our federal staff and state offices to advance our toxics agenda.
  • Recruit and manage interns and staff to support our campaign efforts.
Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in environmental or public health advocacy.
  • Demonstrated commitment to citizen-based social change and a track record of leadership.
  • Excellent public speaking, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
