About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Psychologist to join our team at the State of Colorado. As a Forensic Psychologist, you will be responsible for conducting psychological evaluations and assessments to determine an individual's competency to proceed in a court of law.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments to determine an individual's competency to proceed in a court of law.
  • Develop and deliver expert testimony to courts regarding the results of evaluations and assessments.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including attorneys, judges, and law enforcement officials, to ensure accurate and effective evaluations and assessments.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in forensic psychology to ensure the highest level of expertise and accuracy in evaluations and assessments.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and community partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Current, valid licensure as a Psychologist from the Colorado State Board of Psychologist Examiners.
  • One (1) year of experience as a licensed psychologist or permitted psychologist candidate.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the area of Forensic Evaluations.
  • Experience in conducting and writing evaluations of competency to proceed.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no direction.
  • Clear and effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to use independent judgment to accomplish tasks to meet deadlines.
