Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychologist I to join our team at the State of Colorado. As a Psychologist I, you will be responsible for conducting forensic evaluations, including competency to proceed evaluations, and providing expert testimony in court.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct forensic evaluations, including competency to proceed evaluations, and provide expert testimony in court.
  • Develop and deliver professional opinions regarding competency, restoration, and sanity/mental condition.
  • Attend annual and ongoing competency training to stay informed of current trends and research in the field of forensic psychology.
  • Present and provide feedback to peers during case presentations for continued growth and development.
Requirements
  • Current, valid licensure as a Psychologist from the Colorado State Board of Psychologist Examiners.
  • One (1) year of experience as a licensed psychologist or permitted psychologist candidate.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no direction.
  • Clear and effective written and oral communication skills.
Working Conditions

This position may require extensive travel between offices, hospitals, and detention facilities. A valid, unrestricted U.S. Driver's License is required.
