Physician Assistant I Per Diem Neurosurgery Inpatient South Shore

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant I to join our Neurosurgery team at Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH). The successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care, work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, under the supervision of an attending physician.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and goals.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge, technologies, and best practices through ongoing education and training.
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Valid licensure as a Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Current DEA registration and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing organizational climate.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
The successful candidate will work in a variety of settings, including ambulatory clinics, inpatient areas, intensive care units, operating rooms, and procedural areas. The position requires standing, walking, and heavy lifting of equipment and patients. The candidate may be exposed to radiation, potentially infectious bodily fluids, and sharp instruments.
