Job Title: Clinical Psychologist I

Join the County of Los Angeles, CA team as a Clinical Psychologist I and contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services to the community.

Job Summary:

The Clinical Psychologist I will work under close supervision to apply psychological principles in assessment, treatment, research, training, and clinical consultation. This role will involve providing a wide range of professional psychological services, including diagnostic evaluations, individual and group therapy, and psychological testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans for clients with psychiatric and co-occurring disorders.
  • Provide individual and group therapy, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and other evidence-based practices.
  • Administer and interpret psychological testing instruments to assess client needs and develop treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams to plan treatment programs and disposition of cases.
  • Participate in professional staff conferences to discuss psychological assessment methods, techniques, and results.
Requirements:
  • Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, educational psychology, education with the field of specialization in counseling psychology, or a discipline deemed equivalent by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Psychology.
  • License to practice as a psychologist in the State of California.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and provide high-quality services to clients with diverse needs.
