Key Responsibilities- Maintenance, installation, and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC systems and equipment.
- Testing and preventive maintenance on HVAC and boiler-related equipment.
- Work with 3-phase electric and troubleshoot electrical control circuits as needed.
- Experience with plumbing systems, carpentry, and lock repairs is a plus.
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- A minimum of two (2) years of specialized training for HVAC (Required)
- A minimum of 4 years of full-time HVAC experience with a bona fide HVAC contractor or employer (Required)
- Experience working with boilers is preferred
- Experience in healthcare facilities is preferred
- A Philadelphia Engineer's 'A' License or equivalent license is required.
- Candidates without the required licenses at the time of hire must obtain the Philadelphia Engineer's Class 'A' License and file it with the Physical Plant Department office within 180 days of employment.
- A CFC license for handling low-tonnage cooling equipment must also be obtained within 180 days of employment.
