The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting campus events with set-ups, including the installation of banners, signs, risers, etc. Additionally, the candidate will respond to service calls for general building maintenance items campus-wide, which may include work in classrooms, restrooms, and occasionally residence halls, athletic facilities, and outdoor work. The candidate will also be responsible for performing repairs, including doors, windows, roofs, electrical, plumbing, furnishings, locks, safety protection, and other items as required. Key Responsibilities:
  • Support campus events with set-ups and installations
  • Respond to service calls for general building maintenance items
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of experience in a related field
  • Valid driver's license
  • Experience in taping, patching, spackle, spray, and working from a ladder or scaffolding
  • Ability to mix paint, prime walls, roll, brush, and cut in
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Multi-skill trade experience, preferably carpenter, electrician, and/or plumber
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and take initiative to complete tasks
Physical Requirements:
  • Typically standing and walking
  • Typically bending, crouching, stooping
  • Lifting demands > 50lbs
