Responsibilities of Line Cooks include the preparation, production, and presentation of all menu offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare menu items according to established recipes and special requests
  • Availability to work various hours, including weekends
  • Safely operate all necessary kitchen tools and equipment
  • Effectively communicate to fulfill job requirements
  • Maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Work in a confined space with varying noise and temperature levels
  • Ability to lift and move items of varying weights
  • Stand and walk for the duration of the shift while navigating the restaurant safely

Essential Duties

  • Adhere to portion control and inventory standards
  • Uphold food safety and quality regulations
  • Read thermometers accurately
  • Communicate any delays or issues to the kitchen coordinator
  • Monitor inventory levels and inform management when supplies are low
  • Maintain accurate records of items prepared
  • Understand and follow food allergy protocols
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation standards
  • Follow all workplace policies and procedures
  • Collaborate effectively with team members
