Position Overview:

As a Certified Nurse Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Your responsibilities will include assisting with basic hygiene, promoting nutrition, and maintaining skin integrity. You will also perform routine data collection and assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform and document basic patient care activities relating to hygiene, feeding, safety, skin integrity, elimination, and comfort.
  • Perform and document limited specific procedures under the direction of a registered nurse.
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients.
  • Ambulate patients and assist in general movement for activity/exercises directed by the R.N.
  • Communicate pertinent and relevant information relating to the patient's status to the registered nurse.
  • Respond to medical and environmental emergencies.
Requirements:
  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
  • HS Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and recent work-related experience.
  • CNA-Certified Nurse Assistant certification.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
Preferred Experience:

One year of acute care experience preferred.

Skills and Knowledge:
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to provide basic patient care to a diverse patient population group.
  • Demonstrates a customer-service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees.
