Position OverviewThe Warranty Auditor plays a critical role in examining dealer claims, managing supplier recoveries, overseeing auto approval initiatives, and maintaining the PACCAR Registration Warranty system's backend tables and data. This position collaborates closely with dealers, the internal warranty department, and management to conduct regular audits. The role necessitates travel to dealer locations across the United States and Canada, ranging from 50% to 75%.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe individual will plan and implement audits aimed at evaluating internal control processes and operational efficiency, adhering to departmental standards and expectations.
- Conduct thorough data analysis to support audit planning and testing.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual assessments of claim costs, SRT usage, campaigns, programs, dealer labor rates, and other relevant areas.
- Develop or update audit programs as necessary.
- Facilitate meetings with various management levels to effectively communicate audit progress, address audit issues, and propose corrective measures.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports that clearly articulate findings and recommended actions in both technical and layman's terms for key stakeholders.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of warranty procedures and assist in their updates.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in accounting, internal auditing, consulting, or business analysis.
- Strong mechanical repair knowledge, preferably in heavy-duty trucks or automotive sectors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Robust analytical abilities with a proven track record of interpreting data and identifying significant insights.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal oversight.
- A quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Ability to engage professionally with all levels of management and external partners.
- Experience in data analytics, particularly with SQL, Tableau, and Excel, is preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 50-75% of the time as required.
- A Bachelor's degree is required.
- An MBA or Master's degree is preferred.
