Financial Analyst Job Description

The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the budget development and coordination process for the Navy's BUMED department. This includes monitoring budget execution data to identify spending patterns and performance against plan budget execution milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and monitoring of budget plans and forecasts
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely budget submissions
  • Monitor budget execution data to identify trends and variances
  • Develop and maintain support agreements with trading partners

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a similar discipline
  • Government, AGA, or ASMC certification and involvement
  • Familiarity with DoD PPBES framework
  • Strong data analytics skills and ability to identify trends and variances
  • Experience tracking and reporting on commitments, obligations, and expenditures
  • Prior experience with Navy ERP and G-Invoicing
  • Experience at BUMED or DoD healthcare business office
