Financial Management Information Systems Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Financial Management Information Systems Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in analyzing, designing, and implementing financial systems solutions.
The Financial Management Information Systems Analyst will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing existing financial systems, processes, and data to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. They will collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements for financial system enhancements.
The Financial Management Information Systems Analyst will translate business needs into technical specifications and design efficient and effective financial management information system solutions. They will lead or support the implementation of new financial systems, including configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
The Financial Management Information Systems Analyst will develop training materials and conduct user training sessions to ensure proper system understanding and adoption. They will provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for financial systems, addressing user issues and ensuring system functionality.
The Financial Management Information Systems Analyst will ensure data integrity and accuracy within financial systems, including data migration, validation, and reconciliation. They will ensure financial systems comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices for data security and privacy.
The Financial Management Information Systems Analyst will identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimization within financial management processes. They will communicate effectively with business stakeholders, IT teams, and management to ensure alignment on system requirements and project status.
The Financial Management Information Systems Analyst will maintain detailed documentation of system requirements, design decisions, testing results, and user guides for future reference. They will stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in financial management information systems to recommend innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
- Master's degree or relevant certifications (such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)) are highly desirable.
- 5-7 years of experience as a Financial Management Information Systems Business Analyst.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, and financial reporting.
- Experience in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and financial software applications.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Experience with financial regulatory compliance (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley Act, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)).
- Knowledge of Maryland state financial regulations and reporting requirements is a plus.
- A Public Trust background check is required.
