Job Overview

Phaxis - Healthcare is seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team of dedicated professionals.

The ideal candidate will be a licensed Nurse Practitioner with experience in psychiatric care, willing to work with a Male Clients In Custody population.

Salary and Benefits

The annual salary for this position is estimated at $55,000-$60,000, depending on experience, with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Job Responsibilities

This Mental Health Specialist role involves providing high-quality psychiatric services to clients residing in the agency, including evaluations, ongoing medication management, and connecting clients to needed treatment in the community.

You will conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, work creatively with clinical and program staff to help clients gain housing, and provide temporary treatment in-house for those who are ambivalent about treatment.

Requirements
  • NYS Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
  • Prior NP experience working with MICA populations
  • CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR
