About the Role
Personal Enrichment Through Mental Health Services Inc is seeking a highly skilled Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our Mobile Crisis Response Team. As a key member of our team, you will provide critical support to individuals experiencing mental health crises, working closely with local law enforcement agencies and crisis hotlines to ensure timely and effective interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide initial screening and triage for mental health crisis calls, conducting lethality/risk assessments and mental status examinations to determine the necessary level of care for clients.
- Act as a resource for local law enforcement agencies and crisis hotlines, providing expert guidance and support in crisis situations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement crisis intervention plans, ensuring seamless transitions between services.
- Utilize telemedicine platforms to provide remote support and services when necessary.
- Document all interactions and interventions, maintaining accurate and detailed records of client interactions.
Requirements
- Licensed in the State of Florida as a psychologist, social worker, mental health counselor, or marriage and family therapist, or certification in the field of addictions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with mileage reimbursement provided.
