Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Services Coordinator to join our team at Southern Cancer Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our oncology team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front Desk Operations: Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner, checking them in and informing clinical staff of their arrival.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule appointments in accordance with physician and/or office guidelines, providing patients with appointment details, instructions, and other necessary information.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support, including filing charts and forms, maintaining the lobby area, and ordering office supplies.
  • Communication: Answer, screen, and respond to routine questions, route calls to appropriate personnel, and take thorough messages, communicating messages in an accurate and timely manner according to procedures.
  • Record Keeping: Record patient cancellations and missed appointments, reschedule appointments, and notify appropriate staff of cancellations and make notes in patient charts.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Some receptionist or office experience preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency with computer systems, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) required.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrates flexibility and ability to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities.
  • Work Commitment: Sets high standards of performance and works efficiently to achieve them.
  • Commitment to Quality: Emphasizes the need to deliver quality products and/or services.
