Position Overview:

Are you passionate about providing exceptional service to the community? This role as a Customer Service Representative 1 involves engaging with clients to understand their needs and providing comprehensive support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome clients and evaluate the purpose of their visit.
  • Offer referrals to DES and community resources.
  • Process applications and verify client history in the system.
  • Handle a significant volume of incoming calls with professionalism.
  • Guide clients to the appropriate case manager for further assistance.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence efficiently.
  • Prepare documentation for case transfers and maintain organized records.
  • Implement file management systems in accordance with DES policies.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Understanding of program regulations and office procedures.
  • Proficiency in office equipment and software applications.
  • Strong command of business English, including spelling and grammar.
  • Effective customer service and problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Capability to manage tasks and prioritize effectively.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license may be required for state business.
