ROLE SUMMARY:

The Financial Operations Associate is responsible for managing financial transactions within the Texas A&M University System under general oversight. Key responsibilities include coordinating departmental payments and ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Facilitates disbursements for various university divisions, ensuring the accuracy of reimbursement details.Prepares payment vouchers in compliance with state regulations and guidelines.Utilizes financial management systems for processing payments and conducting audits.Maintains an organized filing system for accounts payable documentation.Acts as a point of contact between stakeholders for invoice and voucher processing.Verifies the accuracy of invoices and payments for goods and services.Prepares audit documentation and ensures timely processing of payments.Provides support for financial systems to the university community.Assists with priority projects and audit activities.Reviews and resolves items identified in oversight audits.Analyzes utility statements for correctness.Manages the eProcurement system and conducts pro card audits.Inputs data into the cash disbursement system and maintains subsidiary ledgers.Oversees foreign vendor information and serves as a backup administrator for the corporate card program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.Experience/Knowledge/Skills: A minimum of four years of relevant experience, with a solid understanding of financial transactions and accounts payable processes.Skills: Ability to multitask, collaborate effectively, and maintain confidentiality.Licensing/Professional Certifications: None required.Physical Requirements: None specified.Other Requirements: None specified.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor's degree, familiarity with fund accounting, and experience with financial management systems are advantageous.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position may involve oversight of student workers.
