Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Asset Integrity Engineer to join our team at Recon Management Services INC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing the engineering and design efforts for the development of engineering drawings/packages for all phases of a project from the feasibility study to construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scope Definition of the project includes discipline engineering requirements, estimating project man hours and requirements.
  • Concisely describing the project requirements by means of engineer's sketches and verbal instructions.
  • Presenting this work to the design personnel in an organized form suitable for design by the available personnel.
  • Coordinating and organizing work with other disciplines. Maintaining a good working relationship.
  • Checking drawing packages for completeness, code compliance and accuracy. Generate Discipline Construction Scopes of work as required.
  • Supervise overall engineering package quality and production.
  • Give adequate instructions to enable the design staff to perform their task with quality work.
  • Perform calculations required for discipline. Check calculations of other engineers for completeness, code compliance and accuracy.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in a related field from an accredited university with at least six (6) years of experience in petrochemical, chemical, offshore, pipeline or utility industries; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Valid Driver's License as per State law or requirement.
  • Professional Engineer Intern status with professional registration preferred.
Technical Expertise
  • Academic Level understanding and knowledge of Mechanical Asset Integrity Engineering (Rotating and Fixed).
  • Provides Mechanical Asset Integrity Engineering (Rotating and Fixed) Technical Calculations, Support and Reviews to Reliability, Maintenance and Operations as needed.
  • Assistance in the development and review of reliability growth, repairability, and management tracking/curves using Crow-AMSAA modeling to demonstrate asset reliability improvements.
  • Has a basic understanding of Mechanical Asset Integrity Engineering (Rotating and Fixed) applicable codes and standards.
  • Performs Daily/Weekly (SAP/Prometheus) reviews of all Open and New notifications to identify failure trends and provides notification compliance feedback to Maintenance.
  • Performs Daily/Weekly Aspen data reviews to identify potential and actual failure trends.
Leadership Competence
  • Provides clear and concise presents supporting their value proposition.
  • Demonstrates Leadership Development Skills in all interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, communicating value, and relationship building etc.
  • Identifies and delivers $ 350k in cost avoidance per year. Ensures results are recorded in the Cost Avoidance Registry within 30 Days after validation.
Internal and External Stakeholder Relationships
  • Provides Turnaround (TAR) Mechanical Asset Integrity (Rotating and Fixed) scope development and execution support.
  • Assistances in the interpretation of Weibull's failure distribution data. Uses the data to develops best-in-class effective maintenance planning, cost effective replacement strategies, and spare parts forecasting.
  • Develops or assists maintenance in Scope of Work (SOW) development for asset overhauls and repairs to deliver a results-oriented Reliability Centered Culture.
  • Assists with Mechanical Asset Integrity Engineering (Rotating and Fixed) oversight of overhauls and repairs ensuring onsite and offsite repairs are completed to specifications and procedures.
  • Ensures overhaul and repair procedures and precision maintenance practices are in place and compliant with latest regulations, specifications, and standards.
  • Assists the Asset Condition Monitoring team in improving machinery predictive monitoring capabilities.
  • Assists operations in the development of Operating Within Acceptable Parameters (OWAP) Targets for high and very high criticality asset. Collaborate with Operations and Technology to use these targets to set operating windows/limits/targets in DMS, operating procedures and feedback into Meridium through IP21.
  • Works Closely with their assigned unit Operations, Maintenance, Inspection, Technology Engineers, and peers to identify, investigate, troubleshoot, execute and completed asset improvement action plans to maximize mechanical reliability.
  • Attends and participates the Daily Operations and Maintenance morning meetings for their assigned Units. Discusses the results of Open and New notifications reviews and Aspen trends.
