Job Summary

The Office of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director to lead the agency's mission and drive innovative programs. As a key decision-maker, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of long-term care and residential facilities advocacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of the agency's mission and strategic goals
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure policies align with government directives
  • Manage resources effectively and set agency-wide priorities
  • Develop and implement policies that ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Advocate for necessary funding to meet program objectives
  • Engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and represent the agency to public officials and community groups
Requirements
  • Six years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience; OR three years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, set and execute strategic goals, and implement policies that align with the agency's mission and government directives
  • Expertise in formulating, analyzing, and assessing policies, ensuring compliance with relevant federal, state, and local regulations
  • Proven experience in budget preparation, resource management, and advocating for necessary funding to meet program objectives
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and represent the agency to public officials and community groups
