Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Professor of Fire Science to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in Fire Science and related fields, as well as developing and implementing curriculum to meet the needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in Fire Science and related fields, including lectures, discussions, and hands-on training sessions.
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of our students, including course syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students, including grading and evaluation.
  • Stay current with developments in the field of Fire Science and Emergency Response, including new technologies, techniques, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to develop and implement academic programs and services.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Fire Science or a related field.
  • Teaching experience in Fire Science or a related field.
  • Ability to develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of our students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Fire Science or a related field.
  • Experience teaching online or in a hybrid format.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and assessment.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses on a semester-by-semester basis, with the possibility of additional assignments as needed.
