Job Summary:
Collin College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Professor of Fire Science to teach courses in Fire Science. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Fire Science and the ability to deliver engaging and innovative coursework. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering coursework, meeting professional standards for faculty, and performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Fire Science courses in accordance with the schedule of classes and follow the approved course descriptions and syllabi established by the Division faculty and administered by the associate dean/director.
  • Teaching assignments may be on one or more of the college's campuses or off-site locations and may include evening and weekend programs.
  • May include Dual Credit courses.

Requirements:
  • Associate degree or higher in Fire Science or related field and must hold Fire Instructor II Certification from the Texas Commission on Fire Protection.
  • Teaching experience is preferred.

Working Conditions:
The successful candidate will work in an office environment with minimal physical demands. The position is Security Sensitive, and candidates will be subject to a criminal background check.
