Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the physical construction activities, ensuring compliance with contract specifications, local and national building regulations, and project-specific requirements.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to maintain accurate documentation of project delays, workarounds, and other operational reports.
- Resolve conflicts on-site and inspire team members to maintain a productive work environment.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors, while promoting teamwork among project stakeholders.
- Ensure quality assurance and control for all aspects of the project.
- Participate in all project inspections.
- Manage and provide feedback on the tool tracking program relevant to assigned projects.
- Forecast labor and equipment needs for project completion.
- Organize the workforce to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
- Interpret complex blueprints and installation manuals.
- Address job-related challenges and propose solutions to the Project Team or Field Operations Manager.
- Act as a liaison with client representatives.
- Monitor project progress and provide weekly updates to the Field Operations Manager and Project Managers.
- Oversee safety protocols on-site and assist the safety manager in maintaining a secure working environment.
- Coordinate daily operations with project managers.
- Supervise subcontractors and labor, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Identify and communicate any issues that may hinder project progress or compliance.
- Conduct interviews and select field staff for project assignments.
- Attend all relevant project meetings.
- Facilitate safety discussions and maintain attendance records.
- Conduct performance evaluations for project employees.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the company.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing site logistics and contract operations in urban settings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction phases and proficiency in various work divisions, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control.
- Strong technical and communication skills are essential.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Lead Superintendent in construction.
- Ability to maintain an up-to-date set of project documents, including blueprints and specifications.
- Skilled in multitasking and managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with BIM coordinated projects is a plus.
- Familiarity with various tools is required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Successful completion of a background check is mandatory.
- OSHA 30 certification is required.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
