Job Overview

The role of the Deputy County Clerk II is essential in providing specialized administrative and technical support to the County Clerk's Office. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities that ensure the smooth operation of court-related functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support court personnel by assisting with various tasks as needed.
  • Facilitate the filing process for all cases within the department.
  • Address inquiries and requests from the public and other departments, resolving issues as necessary.
  • Manage telephone communications, directing calls and providing information.
  • Conduct research and supply relevant information as required.
  • Issue and file legal documents, including citations and court orders.
  • Prepare billing statements and invoices for services rendered.
  • Operate the cash register and generate daily financial reports.
  • Compile, type, and distribute various reports and documents.
  • Provide certified or plain copies of documents to requestors.
  • Develop and prepare necessary forms and correspondence.
  • Assist colleagues with IT and computer-related inquiries.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including large-scale mailings.
  • Perform standard office duties such as faxing, copying, and filing.
  • Assist in locating and providing court dockets when required.
  • Support the scanning and verification of court documents.
  • Stay informed about relevant laws, procedures, and requirements affecting the County Clerk's Office.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.

A minimum of two years of experience in customer service or county clerk-related roles is necessary.
