Job Overview

The role of the Assistant County Clerk II is to deliver specialized administrative and technical support to the designated department. The incumbent may engage in a variety of functions, which include but are not limited to the following:
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance to all Court Personnel as required.
  • Support the Department in managing the filing of all cases.
  • Address inquiries and requests from various departments and the public, resolving issues as necessary.
  • Handle telephone communications, directing calls, answering queries, and taking messages.
  • Conduct research and supply relevant information.
  • Issue and/or file citations, cases, subpoenas, and other judicial orders.
  • Prepare billing statements and invoices.
  • Operate the cash register and generate daily financial reports.
  • Compile, type, and disseminate reports.
  • Provide certified or standard copies to individuals, organizations, or municipalities upon request.
  • Develop and draft forms and correspondence.
  • Assist department staff with IT and computer-related inquiries.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, stamping, and large-scale mail distributions.
  • Perform standard office duties such as faxing, copying, shredding, filing, and typing.
  • Assist in locating and providing court dockets as needed.
  • Support the scanning and verification of court documents.
  • Stay informed about relevant laws, procedures, and requirements pertaining to the Court and the County Clerk's Office.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.

A minimum of two years of experience in customer service, county clerk duties, or a closely related field is necessary.
