Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Registered Nurse Resident to join our Emergency Department team. As a RN Resident, you will participate in a comprehensive residency program designed to support your growth and development as a professional nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Participate in a residency core curriculum, tailored to your individual learning needs, to develop your clinical skills and knowledge.
- Establish and prioritize patient care activities based on acuity of need, patient preference, and resource availability.
- Initiate and maintain interventions to ensure continuity of safe and effective care for patients.
- Respond to data indicating risk to individual's health and initiate action to correct, reduce, or prevent the risk.
- Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
- Comply with established hospital and departmental personnel policies.
- Use effective communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
- Document patient care in accordance with established guidelines.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire.
- Additional certifications may be required based on departmental needs.
