Job Overview

Sterling Engineering Inc. is seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing mechanical and electrical support to our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute mechanical and electrical tasks, including breakdown analysis, equipment rebuilds, and maintenance for production equipment and facilities.
  • Participate in cross-functional improvement teams and contribute to problem-solving activities.
  • Serve as a trainer and mentor to maintenance and production technicians, facilitating skills development and issue resolution.
  • Investigate root causes of equipment failures and communicate findings, recommending and implementing resolutions.
  • Interpret blueprints and manuals to guide maintenance activities effectively.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an industrial mechanic or electrician role, preferably in the food industry.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, facilitating teamwork and discussions across all levels.
  • Technical proficiency in basic mechanic and electrical skills, breakdown analyses, equipment rebuilds, troubleshooting, PLC/Ladder Logic/HMI, and fabrication.
