Position Summary

We are seeking skilled flooring technicians to enhance our field operations. Ideal candidates will possess expertise in:

  • Installation and repair of various flooring materials

Previous experience addressing flooring challenges in commercial environments, such as restaurants or multi-family residences, is essential. Our onboarding process includes a two-week orientation and ongoing collaboration with seasoned trade specialists who provide daily support.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for a commercial flooring technician is competitive and varies based on regional standards and individual experience, typically ranging from $30 to $35 per hour. Benefits include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel across the Midwest to execute flooring projects
  • Conduct flooring repairs and replacements

  • Prepare detailed job scopes including time estimates and material needs for the account management team
  • Maintain professionalism and provide excellent customer service in all interactions
  • Complete most assignments during overnight hours due to operational requirements
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial flooring within various settings such as restaurants, medical facilities, or municipal buildings
  • Familiarity with flooring tools and equipment
  • Proficiency in various flooring systems, including but not limited to quarry tile, carpet tile, and vinyl
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively use smartphones and tablets
  • Willingness to travel to multiple job sites throughout the workday
  • Availability for overtime, evening, weekend, and on-call shifts
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly stand, walk, sit, kneel, and navigate stairs; climb ladders up to 35 feet
  • Work from various heights using platforms, scaffolds, ladders, or man-lifts
  • Bend, stretch, lift, and move heavy objects frequently
  • Operate and maintain various power equipment safely
