Job Summary:

Sutter Health is seeking a skilled Cancer Registrar II to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of cancer data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and maintain accurate cancer data, including reportable malignancies and benign tumors.
  • Review patient medical records, including imaging, pathology, treatment summaries, and physician's office notes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry changes and regulatory requirements.
  • Use knowledge of cancer disease processes, tumor nomenclature, medical terminology, and anatomy to ensure data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in a health-related field or completion of an accredited Cancer Registrar training program.
  • Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification.
  • 1-year recent relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • General knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health records (EHR).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
