Job Overview

As an Automation Equipment Technician, you will engage in the assembly and optimization of specialized automated machinery tailored for the pharmaceutical sector. Your role will involve the meticulous construction and troubleshooting of high-speed, precision devices essential for the production of critical medications.

Job Type: 3-18 month contract (contractors of Sterling Engineering will qualify for benefits)
Compensation: Up to $40/hr (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and troubleshoot automation systems, ensuring adherence to all specifications.
  • Fabricate, modify, and repair automation stations and their components.
  • Conduct electrical field wiring for sensors, valves, and motors.
  • Oversee the disassembly, packaging, unpacking, and commissioning of automation machinery.
  • Deliver technical support for the introduction of new equipment, including staff training.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred: Associate's degree or certification from a Technical Trade School.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with automation systems in an industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with high-speed synchronous, asynchronous, and flexible assembly systems.
  • Possession of personal tools is required.
  • Ability to adhere to strict safety and quality protocols while working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Competence in reading and interpreting technical drawings related to tools, assembly, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
