Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Active Playful Learning Coach to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a key member of our education team, you will play a critical role in supporting the implementation of the Active Playful Learning framework in elementary schools across the state.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide coaching and support to elementary school teachers in the implementation of the Active Playful Learning framework.
  • Develop and deliver professional development training to teachers and coaches on the Active Playful Learning approach.
  • Collaborate with the University of Virginia research team to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Conduct regular site visits to observe and provide feedback to teachers on their implementation of the Active Playful Learning framework.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of the Active Playful Learning framework.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in education or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in education, preferably in elementary education.
  • Strong knowledge of the Active Playful Learning framework and its implementation in elementary schools.
  • Excellent coaching and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in instructional coaching or a related role.
  • Experience in developing and delivering professional development training.
  • Knowledge of elementary mathematics curriculum and instructional strategies.
Physical Demands

This position requires reliable transportation and occasional travel to Charlottesville to meet with the University of Virginia research team.
