Your responsibilities.

As an intern, you will be integrated into our team just like our entry-level professionals. You will contribute to building trust in organizations of all sizes by ensuring their financial stability. We will empower you to develop business solutions that go beyond mere spreadsheets. Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyzing tax implications related to mergers and acquisitions.
  • Investigating intricate tax matters and drafting technical memoranda.
  • Supporting international tax structuring and operational challenges.
  • Preparing tax returns and playing a vital role in client engagement teams.
  • Contributing to National Tax Office activities, including crafting internal and external tax alerts on current developments and innovative planning strategies.
  • Assisting with internal tax training initiatives.
  • Helping manage the tax components of transactions.
  • Engaging in meaningful interactions with colleagues at all levels and our esteemed clients.
  • Enhancing your expertise in tax and tax consulting through exposure to diverse service lines.

Qualifications.

  • Detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical abilities.
  • Demonstrated interest in tax law, evidenced by completed or planned tax courses prior to graduation.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with a focus on accounting; or a Master's degree in accounting or tax.
  • Must be working towards a LLM, JD, or CPA license.
  • Academic excellence (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0).

This is a non-exempt position and may require work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week. This position may involve some local, national, and occasional international travel.

Salary Class

Hourly

Compensation information is based on a position being located in the state of CO. Please review position location for applicable geographic location.

Colorado hourly rate range is as follows:

$34.00 to $34.00

We are pleased to offer eligible staff a comprehensive benefits package. Eligibility and contribution requirements for some of these benefits vary based on the number of hours staff work per week. Highlights include health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. These standard offerings are effective on the first of the month following your start date. Additionally, eligible staff can take advantage of our Flexible Time Off and various pre-determined holidays, as well as a balance fund, 401(k) plan, flexible benefits plans, and reimbursement for business-related travel expenses.
