Role Summary

The Guest Services Attendant plays a pivotal role in shaping the guest arrival experience. This position is responsible for warmly welcoming guests upon their arrival, assisting with luggage and packages from vehicles, and ensuring a seamless transition to their accommodations. The attendant will escort guests to their rooms, providing them with information about hotel amenities and services. It is essential to address the immediate needs of guests upon their arrival and maintain a high level of service throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance the guest experience by proactively anticipating their needs and responding promptly.
  • Efficiently manage the retrieval and loading of guest luggage and packages from vehicles.
  • Safely transport luggage to and from guest rooms, including during room changes.
  • Handle guest property with care and professionalism.
  • Coordinate luggage requirements for groups and events.
  • Ensure proper tagging, storage, and retrieval of luggage in the holding area.
  • Maintain clear access to the hotel entrance and drop-off zones.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of hotel services and local attractions to assist guests effectively.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas.
  • Utilize equipment correctly and maintain awareness of safety protocols.
  • Monitor the premises for any undesirable activities.
  • Adhere to all departmental policies and service standards.
  • Ensure the Bell Desk is consistently staffed and operational.
  • Communicate daily business demands with team members regarding arrivals, departures, and events.
  • Answer Bell Desk inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Document guest requests for assistance accurately.
  • Maintain security and accurate records of guest room keys issued.
  • Support Door Staff in performing various functions as needed.
  • Accommodate guest requests with precision and efficiency.
  • Document all relevant information in the daily logbook.
  • Inform guests about fire exits and safety procedures.
  • Assist guests with accessing their rooms using key cards.
  • Offer assistance with packing and unpacking, as well as explaining laundry services.
