About the Position

We are looking for a highly skilled Social Services Coordinator to join our inpatient mental health team at St. Joseph School of Nursing. As a critical member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will be responsible for providing direct services to adult psychiatric patients on our acute behavioral health units. Your primary duties will include leading groups, individual therapy, family and systems meetings, completing intakes, case management activities, and participating in crisis management as needed.

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a Master's Degree in social work, mental health counseling, or psychology from an accredited program. A minimum of one to two years of clinical experience in acute care settings is highly recommended. You will also need to demonstrate a strong understanding of evidence-based practices in group facilitation and exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

* Lead groups, individual therapy sessions, and family meetings for adult psychiatric patients
* Complete psychosocial evaluations and participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning
* Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop comprehensive discharge plans
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, coordination of care efforts, and other interventions throughout the episode of care
