Family Support Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Family Support Coordinator to join our team at the City of Providence. In this role, you will work with families who have children at risk for abuse and neglect, as well as those with Serious Emotional Disturbance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive support services to families, including crisis stabilization, linkage to needed services, and development of long-term family plans.
  • Work collaboratively with families, youth, their natural supports, DCYF staff, and other community providers to ensure effective implementation of Wraparound services.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to identify family needs and develop individualized plans.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with children and families with complex needs.
  • Familiarity with the Rhode Island system of care and ability to engage families, community partners, and natural supports in a collaborative process.
  • Candidates must be bilingual (English/Spanish) and available for flexible scheduling, including evening or weekend meetings.
Compensation and Benefits:

Estimated salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and life insurance, as well as paid time off and opportunities for professional growth and development.
