Job Title: Journeyman Truck Technician

Papé, a leading medium and heavy-duty truck and equipment dealer, is seeking a skilled Journeyman Truck Technician to join their team in San Leandro, CA.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Journeyman Truck Technician to work on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely repairs, providing excellent customer service, and working collaboratively with other technicians to achieve our customers' uptime goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex repairs and maintenance on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks, including electronic troubleshooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, using your expertise and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, communicating effectively with customers and colleagues to ensure their needs are met.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry developments, participating in training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience working on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks, including electronic troubleshooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in diagnostic software.
  • Self-motivation, assertiveness, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
  • Class B CDL or ability to obtain one.
  • Must provide own tools.
