Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to work closely with our physical therapists to implement and execute individualized plans of care for our patients. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a safe and supportive environment, with on-the-job training and growth opportunities.
Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to contribute to a positive working environment.
- Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans and providing patient care.
- Participate in corporate meetings and continuing education courses as requested.
- Provide patient and family instruction for home exercise and mobility training programs.
- Measure and record standardized tests, such as strength, range of motion, and functional mobility assessments.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and confer with physical therapists regarding patient status, plan of care, and progress.
- Participate in inter-departmental training programs and assist other staff members with treatments as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations, and infection-control policies and protocols.
- Completion of a college program with licensure in physical therapy.
- Holds current license in the State of Michigan.
