About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Enrollment Services Technician to join our team at Ocean County College. This part-time position plays a critical role in delivering exceptional student services and support to our students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

As an Enrollment Services Technician, you will be responsible for:

1. Providing timely and efficient client service, handling confidential information, and interpreting and adhering to established federal, state, local, and institutional policies and regulations.

2. Participating in training programs in all student service areas, attending commencement ceremonies, registration days, and other student events as directed.

3. Utilizing CRM and ERP systems to maintain accurate databases, aligning and tracking communications, and assisting with the enhancement of enrollment campaigns.

4. Educating and empowering students to use self-service technologies within enrollment services, including Student Planning, self-service portals, online applications, and other relevant systems.

5. Following and utilizing appropriate processes to communicate with students through various technologies, initiating and responding to inquiries through approved recruitment campaigns and techniques.

6. Positively responding to student inquiries and assisting staff members in a fast-paced environment, elevating more complex inquiries to appropriate parties.

7. Performing related projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. An Associate's degree or High School diploma plus 2 years of customer service experience.

2. Prior work experience, preferably in a customer service environment.

3. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (verbal and written).

4. Prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with a database software platform.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, it is desirable if you have:

1. One or more years of related experience in higher education.

2. One year of experience using Ellucian (Datatel) Colleague or other comparable student service system.

3. Bilingual in conversational Spanish.
