POSITION OVERVIEW

The Information Systems Specialist II is responsible for the maintenance and management of computer systems, including hardware and software configurations, inventory oversight, and reporting. This role ensures that security protocols are adhered to in line with established guidelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to identify issues, implement configuration adjustments, and perform system updates.
  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Travel as required to support various operational locations.
  • Execute IT services in alignment with organizational policies and standards.
  • Maintain compliance with information assurance requirements as dictated by relevant authorities.
  • Conduct installation, maintenance, and lifecycle support for unique IT systems and equipment.
  • Assist in the development and review of maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting for computer systems.
  • Support the procurement of new systems and provide training for users.
  • Ensure that all hardware and software remain compliant with federal regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with three years of relevant experience in areas such as network protocols, system administration, and operating systems.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to work in challenging environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Proficient in various computer systems and applications.
