We are seeking a highly skilled Stationary Engineer to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare West. As a key member of our facilities department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, plumbing, electrical, and heating/air conditioning tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Perform service and preventive maintenance on all boilers, chillers, emergency generators, pumps, control valves, and auxiliary machinery in a prompt and efficient manner.
- Submit estimates of material and labor needed for each project and oversee the upgrading of stock.
- Operate boilers, auxiliary equipment, and the HVAC system 24 hours a day.
- Prepare boilers, chillers, generators, and related equipment for annual city, state, and insurance inspections.
- Perform daily tests on water samples to record and determine what, if any, corrective actions are to be taken.
- Perform after-hours safety inspections for incoming clinical and non-clinical equipment.
- Take routine maintenance calls as required.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience as a Stationary Engineer is required.
- Current 1st or 2nd Grade Stationary Engineer License through the city of Houston, Texas, is required.
