Job Description

The Carrier Solutions Specialist is primarily responsible for maintaining carrier aging's to ensure accounts are current and resolving any carrier issues according to the contracted rates and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and understanding contract rates per customer contracts and resolving any discrepancies or errors that may come in the form of balance dues, emails, or phone calls.
  • Auditing carrier freight invoices and handling balance dues.
  • Performing month-end accrual reporting for the customer.
  • Handling and following up with carrier and customer questions.
  • Learning all TBL Services Software and using that knowledge to enhance the freight payment process and resolve any freight payment issues by using this software.
  • Frequent contact with all TBL Services employees, coordinating information flow, error resolution, process enhancements, and fulfilling customer needs.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Freight payment process: Both domestic and international freight bill processing, batching freight bills/data entry.
  • Creating and maintaining good relationships with Vendors and Carriers.
  • Answering phones.
  • Picking up Mail from Post Office, must be able to lift 30 pounds. This will include sorting mail and opening mail.
  • All other job duties that may be assigned.

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Candidate must have at least one year of work experience in a customer service function.
  • Previous experience working in an office environment is strongly desired.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced office.
  • Good communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills are required.
  • Candidate must possess a strong team work attitude.
  • Candidate must be PC literate; Experience with MS Office applications is a plus.
