Loews Hotels & Co is expanding its presence in Kansas City, MO with the new Loews Kansas City Hotel. This 800-room hotel features 60,000 square feet of meeting & function space, with a sky bridge connecting to the 800,000 square foot Kansas City Convention Center. The hotel marks the first hotel catering to groups & meetings to open in more than 20 years in Kansas City. Two signature restaurants, a Grab & Go bakery and a rooftop lounge will round out this all glass, 24 story hotel, which stands out on the city's skyline. Loews Kansas City is located at the cornerstone of an already vibrant and continuously growing downtown Kansas City.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervises restaurant activities in absence of Manager, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Controls Reservation Book, accepts reservations and enters them accurately into the record, maintaining guest history files.
  • Maintains guest records to; record arrival, cover count, seat assignment, turnover, availability, and ensures removal of unnecessary place settings at occupied tables.
  • Inspects menus to ensure cleanliness and acceptability, and guides guests to appropriate tables.
  • Determines guest needs, verifies table availability, assigns appropriate table for seating, and notifies server of guest seating.
  • Assists guests with seating, and presents menu, while ensuring dining room appearance is constantly inspected and deficiencies are corrected.
  • Monitors dining room activity, assists Servers and Assistants as needed to ensure performance to standard, and assigns post meal side work.
  • Other duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with hotel standards, policies and rules.
General Expectations
  • Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times, and is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow team members.
  • Notifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance, and executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Complies with required safety regulations and procedures, and attends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area, and complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards.
  • Recycles whenever possible, and remains current with hotel information and changes.
