Nurse Care Specialist

Aequor Technologies is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Medical-Surgical unit. As a Nurse Care Specialist, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, managing a wide range of medical conditions and post-operative care.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and assess patient vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition, documenting findings accurately and promptly.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring proper dosages and adherence to protocols.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for each patient.
Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care, ensuring understanding and compliance.
Respond to medical emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions to stabilize patients and prevent complications.
Maintain a clean and organized environment, adhering to infection control policies and procedures to ensure patient safety.
Assist with the preparation of patients for surgeries, procedures, or diagnostic tests, providing emotional support and information as needed.
Perform routine administrative tasks such as updating patient records, scheduling follow-up appointments, and coordinating care with other departments.
Requirements
Strong understanding of medical-surgical nursing practices, including patient care, medication administration, and emergency response.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and hospital information systems for accurate documentation and data management.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and transferring patients, moving medical equipment, and standing for long periods.
Active [STATE] Registered Nurse (RN) License in good standing.
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Med Surg Nurse or in a similar role.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Experience with EPIC or similar charting systems.
