Position Overview:

The Experienced Beverage Server plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service for a variety of beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. This position requires a friendly demeanor, professionalism, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. Consistent attendance and availability for scheduled events are essential.

Compensation: This role offers an hourly wage ranging from $12 to $15.00, in addition to tips.

Benefits for Part-time Roles: 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions.

Note: This is an evergreen role, meaning applications are accepted continuously without a specific deadline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages, ensuring responsible service to minors and intoxicated patrons.
  • Review pre-shift notes and bar menus to provide service as outlined.
  • Process drink orders accurately; mix, garnish, and present beverages according to standard recipes while practicing portion control.
  • Prepare and stock assigned bar areas with necessary supplies, including beer, wine, spirits, and garnishes.
  • Maintain the quality of fresh ingredients by preparing and storing fruits, vegetables, and juices appropriately.
  • Welcome guests warmly and engage with them in a friendly manner.
  • Recognize signs of guest inebriation and take appropriate action, including notifying management or security when necessary.
  • Secure all beverage products and equipment, completing closing duties at the end of the shift.
  • Perform cleaning tasks to meet health and safety standards, ensuring a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

The following qualifications are essential for success in this role:

  • A minimum of six months of bartending experience in a high-volume environment.
  • Proficiency in handling cash and processing transactions through a POS system.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of guest service and professional interactions.
  • Knowledge of liquor laws and regulations.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with various types of beer, wine, and spirits.
  • Capability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to obtain a valid food handling certificate and TABC certification prior to employment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours as needed.
  • Completion of bartending school is preferred.
