Fidelity TalentSource LLC is seeking a highly skilled Data Center Facilities Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Data Center Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the uptime and reliability of our data center facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, lead, and complete critical maintenance activities to ensure minimal adverse business impact.
- Supervise multiple building systems, correcting deficient performance through Building Management System (BMS) adjustments, on-site remedial maintenance, and effective emergency response actions.
- Assist vendors/contractors performing remedial repair activities.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with and provide assistance to the engineering staff.
- Apply tools, processes, procedures, and notify superiors as appropriate to ensure the consistent flow of information and activities.
- Complete daily log entries and update engineering staff via email.
- Assist with all department projects, plans, and improvements.
- Support Fidelity's ISO-14001 Environmental Management System, ISO-27001 Information Security Management, and SSAE-16/18 regulatory reporting requirements.
- Demonstrate the ability to switch to standby generators and bypass UPS systems when an electrical alarm or failure occurs, consistent with procedures, communicating all actions via accurate communication channels.
- Complete critical maintenance on time and with attention to detail.
Requirements:
- High School diploma, GED, trade school, or equivalent required.
- 3+ years of related facilities experience.
- 2+ years of experience in a mission-critical environment a plus.
- Experience with Building Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, or Controls systems.
- Licensed HVAC, pipefitter, plumbing credentials, or EPA certification.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, construction documents, and O&M manuals.
- Proven ability to install, repair, and maintain electrical circuits and related loads in compliance with the National Electrical Code and generally accepted industry practices.
- Ability to develop and maintain procedures such as SOP, MOP, etc.
- The ability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Motivated by knowing the work you have done is critical for various components that have tremendous business impact for Fidelity.
- Proven ability to build a strong, positive culture collaborating with a team of 8-12 professionals.
- Continuously set the standard in terms of engineering excellence, while facilitating outstanding performance, workplace maintenance excellence, and team coherence.
- Proficient in PC applications, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, CMMS, and facility BMS systems.
- Highly organized and diligent in balancing maintenance priorities and procedures.
- Strong contributor with a collaborative work style.
Working Hours:
12-hour daytime shifts: 4 days on and 3 days off alternating weeks of 3 days on and 4 days off.
