We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at Indian Creek Foundation. As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing one-to-one behavioral support and intervention facilitation to children and adolescents with developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide behavioral support and intervention facilitation to children and adolescents with developmental disabilities
- Collaborate with treatment team members to develop goals and interventions
- Provide transfer of skill to parents/caregivers through interventions such as modeling, parent coaching, and interventions as written in the behavior plan
- Accurately document progress notes for each session
- Collect data to assist in determining levels of progress
- Participate in monthly team meetings and group supervision meetings with clinical supervisor
- Maintain communication with treatment team to report obstacles, progress, and/or concerns about treatment
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clear three-year driving record
- Able to complete and pass drug screen, physical, and background checks
- Ability to work flexible hours as determined by program needs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to comply with HIPAA standards
- Knowledge of CASSP principles
The Behavioral Health Specialist must be able to perform the physical duties required of the job, including frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
Working ConditionsThe Behavioral Health Specialist will work in a variety of settings, including homes, schools, and community settings. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
