POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Administrative Manager and the Clinical Team, the Senior Patient Services Coordinator is responsible for a variety of essential tasks aimed at enhancing patient care and operational efficiency.

  • Manages scheduling for initial consultations, follow-up appointments, and multi-disciplinary patient visits involving various healthcare providers.
  • Oversees and updates the master clinical schedules for healthcare providers.
  • Processes referrals for specialty appointments as requested.
  • Collects and verifies intake information from patients and referring physicians.
  • Coordinates the scheduling of Radiology examinations.
  • Requests and secures necessary scans, pathology reports, x-rays, and lab results for clinical evaluations.
  • Collaborates with the Infusion Unit to arrange chemotherapy sessions for patients.
  • Handles a high volume of patient calls, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ensures confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provides support for other team members during absences or peak workflow periods.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as required.

This role necessitates close collaboration with physician staff and other clinical center members, as well as interaction with patients undergoing treatment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, high-volume setting.
