Job Overview
A Medical Assistant with OrthoAlaska LLC will contribute to outstanding patient experience by working with other providers and staff to ensure patients receive appropriate care. As a key member of the CARE TEAM, you will perform administrative tasks, environmental tasks, and organizational tasks to ensure the clinic operates effectively.

Salary Range
The estimated salary for this role is $21.00–$31.50 per hour (DOE) with non-certified assistants earning $20.00–$30.50 per hour. A certified medical assistant can earn up to $31.50 per hour. Additionally, a one-time $1,000 SIGNING BONUS is available after 90 days of full-time employment.

Key Responsibilities
As a Medical Assistant at OrthoAlaska LLC, your duties will include adhering to the scope of practice of a MA, rooming patients, taking vital signs, and documenting patient visits in an electronic health record system. You will also ensure exam rooms are stocked, cleaned, and maintained for patient visits. Other responsibilities include complying with HIPAA, confidentiality, and state laws; answering patient calls and following up with patients; assisting with patient scheduling as needed; effectively communicating with patients, providers, and staff; maintaining a professional presence; and reporting concerns to appropriate staff members.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred qualifications include one year of clinical experience working as a medical assistant OR completion of externship in a medical office; Certified medical assistant through the AAMA OR registered medical assistant through the AMT OR Licensed practical nurse certification PLUS two years of clinical experience.
