Position Summary

The primary objective of this role is to deliver exceptional food and beverage service to guests, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and organization within the dining area and assisting with various food service tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve food to patrons dining in the establishment.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction regarding their meals.
  • Safely transport equipment to ensure a secure serving corridor.
  • Promptly address spills and breakages, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Restock essential items such as glassware, utensils, and cleaning supplies.
  • Clear tables throughout the dining experience using appropriate techniques.
  • Maintain cleanliness of bar and table surfaces during shifts.
  • Sanitize high-touch areas, including chairs and railings.
  • Dispose of waste from trash receptacles in the dining area.
  • Participate in the thorough cleaning of the dining space.
  • Support the service team to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Additional Functions

Alongside the essential duties, this position may involve a combination of the following supportive tasks, determined by management based on hotel needs:
  • Assist with guest inquiries.
  • Adhere to all company policies regarding safety and security.
  • Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or incidents.
  • Complete other reasonable job tasks as directed by supervisors.
Physical Requirements
  • Work environment is primarily indoors, with moderate temperature control.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures, such as freezers and kitchens.
  • Stand and move efficiently for extended periods.
  • Lift items weighing up to 45 lbs. as necessary.
  • Push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs.
  • Engage in various physical activities including bending, climbing, and repetitive motions.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • Proficient in the primary language used in the workplace.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Able to handle customer interactions with patience and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with Windows OS, MS Office, and POS systems.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of dining service protocols and menu items.
Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings.
Certifications
  • Safe Server Alcohol & Food certification is preferred.
Grooming Standards

All staff members are expected to maintain a neat and professional appearance in accordance with Azul Hospitality standards.

Attendance Policy

Consistent attendance is crucial for the successful performance of this role. Staff members are required to comply with attendance policies and participate in scheduled training sessions.
