Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and support services in our Cardiac Universal Bed- 5th Floor (CVICU) department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will assist licensed nurses and medical staff in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and record patient data, including vital signs and activities of daily living (ADL)
  • Answer call lights and complete patient rounds to ensure timely and effective care
  • Assist with completing and maintaining patient files and forms for admission, transfer, and discharge
  • Provide patient personal hygiene and clean-up services, promoting a clean and comfortable environment
  • Comply with Baylor Scott and White Health policies and procedures, upholding our commitment to excellence in patient care
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
